Unique and then some.

All the instruments mesh well together, and the melody kicks ass.

I shit "bricks" when I heard this.

You sir, are a genius. The beat is awesome, and it sounds complex yet catchy and very easy to listen to. I like how it builds up one voice at a time, like a fugue. 10/10.

Awesome

Best part, to me, is the piano-and-bass section from 1:36 to 2:44. Catchy and classy-sounding. I think it'd be awesome if you would expand and continue on that. The short piano-only piece that follows is beautiful in its own right, but you really had something going there for that piano-bass section.

The bass kick is kind of underwhelming for the intro, but I think it complements the plus=piano section well.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

I've been trying to include piano a lot more in my songs lately... simply because the piano is one of my favorite instruments, that and I finally have a full 88 key keyboard to play with, so you'll no doubt be hearing a lot more piano in every style of music I do.

Glad you liked it!

Ohgodtheyretakingoverourbrainswithrave!

It's a nice blend between sinister and "party." Like an evil party.

All from scratch, huh? Must have been tricky. I think it came out nicely, in that it's really original and really gets your attention, yet you can still somewhat comfortably dance to it :D You know, that experimental music feeling, but not as disconcerting as experimental often tends to be.

Creepy as heck.

A great song to wander a dark hallway alone at night in an unfamiliar building to :P

The name only makes it worse :P

Wow.

I can practically taste the happy.

Nice!

It's unusual among songs in that it's fun to listen to more than anything else. Melody is unorthodox, and all over the place, in a good way, it's complemented incredibly well by the bass, and the intro doesn't waste time in setting it up. I can't think of any way to improve this. Good job, and I'll be checking out your other stuff soon :D

Great! :D :D
Love your rewiev! Gives me motivation for more! =)
Thank you so much! :D

Holy sh*t

I cannot start to describe how much ass this kicks. Intense, technically awesome and offers a shit-ton in raw, beautiful emotion.

This, along with Star Chaser, has convinced me you are a fucking genius.

Intense and kickasstical

Goes from emotional extreme to emotional extreme, while staying strong, clear and passionate the whole time. Kickass guitar riffs and excellent pacing. Sounds dream-like and surreal while still lodging itself firmly in my mind like a swift steel boot to the face, only just as pleasant as that would be uncomfortable :P The drums/bass in the second half of it are excellently placed as well.

Favorited. Totally favorited.

I'm glad you noticed some key points to my song here. NG needs more thoughtful reviews like yours. You've basically proven to me that I've done everything right with this song. I always aim to achieve certain musical goals with each song and composition. It really is good hear that the song came out exactly the way I wanted it to! Kickass.

That's my first thought at about 30 seconds in.

This song rocks. It has energy and a wonderful tune. Lots of noise that sounds like it's going everywhere, but it's all wonderfully coordinated so that it still sounds beautiful. You have certainly worked to earn that 9.8-something rating :P
